In order to take part in the competition, allparticipants, choreographers, and dancers have to have completed professionaltraining. Choreographers must not be older than 35 years. The length of theperformance is limited between 5 and 12 minutes. A solo ballet cannot beinterpreted by the choreographer him/herself. Subject and music are free ofchoice. These few stipulations enable the contest to be open to all styles ofpresentation. Judging concentrates only on the creative use of space and time,  the interpretation of an idea, and the way this is adopted by theperformers.

choreography33 cooperates with competitions in Spain and Israel

6 months before the choreography 33 - International Choreographic Competition Hanover on 21 and 22 June 2019, the Ballet Company Hannover is pleased about two new cooperations with other competitions:

MASDANZA: For 23 years there has been the "International Contemporary Dance Festival of the Canary Islands" in Gran Canaria with a prestigious solo and group competition for young choreographers

MASH - INTERNATIONAL CHOREOGRAPHY COMPETITION in JERUSALEM: the still young competition has become an integral part of the Jerusalem International Dance Week for 7 years and is well received by young choreographers worldwide

With the creators of both events, the ballet company has agreed that their respective winner in the choreography in Hanover are set and not have to be selected by the preliminary jury. Thibaut Eiferman is the winner of MASH International Choreography Competition with his choreography "H H H", MASDANZA will be joined by Mario Bermudez Gil with "Alanda", who already reached the choreography finale in 2016.

We are very pleased about the new cooperations, which connect us even more internationally and enable us to support the young dance scene even more intensively worldwide.
